CEO becomes ACEC-Ontario and announces 2020 Board of Directors
Toronto, ON (September 15, 2020) – Consulting Engineers of Ontario held its first online annual general meeting and announced historic changes to the association. The membership confirmed the association’s name change to become the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Ontario (ACEC-Ontario). In addition, the 2020 Board of Directors that will oversee the organization for the upcoming governance year was introduced.
Bill Allison, Partner at Dillon Consulting Limited, will serve as the 2020-2021 Chair. Allison noted his goal is to focus on improving the member experience at ACEC-Ontario. The Board also welcomed two new Directors to the table, Ryan Matthews, Municipal Market Chief at J.L. Richards & Associates Limited and Chris Metaxas, Senior Engineering Consultant at GEI Consultants.
During the meeting, special recognition was given to outgoing Past Chair Rex Meadley, former Chairman at Tatham Engineering Limited, who has retired after a 35-year engineering career. “Rex is well known and very well regarded in the consulting engineering community, and dedicated six years of service to the ACEC-Ontario Board. We wish him all the best in retirement.” said Bruce Matthews, ACEC-Ontario’s Executive Director.
