A key purpose of the Annual General Meeting (AGM) is for the election of Directors. At the Tuesday, September 14, 2021 AGM there are two Director positions to be elected. One position arises because a current Director is reaching the end of their first elected term. One position arises because the current Chair becomes Past Chair. No current Directors are reaching the end of their term limits as described in Paragraph 5.04(d) of the ACEC-Ontario By-law.

Nomination By Members
In accordance with By-law Section 5.06 – Nomination of Candidates, firm members may also submit names of candidates for election to the Board of Directors of ACEC-Ontario as follows:
After the receipt of this notice and up to July 30, 2021 (being forty-five (45) days before the AGM), Firm Members may nominate additional nominees, provided that each nomination is signed by the Firm Member Representative of at least three nominating Firm Members, together with the consent of the nominee, and the signed nomination is filed with the Chair of the Board. All nominations shall be subject to the approval of the Board for the sole purpose of ensuring that the nominees are qualified to stand for election under the By-law.
The Corporate Secretary shall, together with the notice of the annual meeting of Members, give notice to the Members of the persons nominated for election to the Board.
Members wishing to submit candidate names must have them submitted to the Corporate Secretary at the ACEC-Ontario office by Friday July 30, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Members may contact the ACEC-Ontario office at cgonsalves@ACEC-Ontario.on.ca for questions concerning nominating procedures.
