The Value of Connecting with the ACEC-Ontario Grand River Chapter
Chapter engagement is an excellent way for both new and long-time ACEC-Ontario members to engage with our association. Our chapters present a flexible platform of engagement, allowing you to engage as frequently as your schedule allows. Chapter engagement benefits you and your firm by:
- Creating and building relationships with local government officials
- Providing your firm a platform to provide input on local issues impacting your business
- Build your firms brand and awareness by networking with local industry professionals
- Network with industry partners and peers
- Access to local professional development opportunities
- Access to recognition opportunities through awards programs
Looking for a low-commitment, straightforward way to network with your fellow ACEC-Ontario member firms? Contact your local chapter by emailing Laura Korneluk at lkorneluk@acecontario.ca to request and invitation to their next meeting. Have a bit more time to spare? Consider volunteering on your local Chapter Executive.

About ACEC-Ontario Chapters
Regional chapters are an integral part of ACEC-Ontario’s structure, and are a vital tool in the fulfillment of ACEC-Ontario’s mission. As an extension of ACEC-Ontario, the chapters work with local municipalities to promote fair and reasonable business practices for ACEC-Ontario member firms in the consulting engineering industry. Jointly, the efforts of the chapters have complemented ACEC-Ontario work through advocating for the improvement of industrywide best practices. ACEC-Ontario Chapters are a core function to the association’s success.
ACEC-Ontario Chapters also provide members with opportunities in their regional areas by hosting award programs and networking events, including those for young professionals. Operating in line with our strategic plan to support chapter operations, all ACEC-Ontario Chapters are currently conducting meetings and events on virtual platforms.
Regional chapters continue to be an important ally in the work that ACEC-Ontario does. Each chapter works with their municipalities, whenever possible, to engage in dialog and provide feedback and suggestions to procurement and contracting practices.
